I was going through some past archives and realized that I had visited Delhi back in 2014 and discovered about 10E6 pictures snapped by my amateur ass. Figured I could share a few here.
Firstly, I've never had much appreciation for the India Gate as much as I did after visiting it. Those pictures in the history textbooks didn't do much justice to show how big the thing actually is.

In fact, the textbook editors could've done a better job at emphasizing some of the cool things about this gate. I mean, it's not just a gate - it does hold a sentiment. This monument was built to commemorate the martyred and unknown soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces who fought and died during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. Unfortunate, but an inevitable stride towards whatever they fought over. Must've been something important.

Moreover, you can see the names of the soldiers embossed onto the bricks of the monument.
But I'm sure the sensationalism dies down quite soon enough after standing below the scorching heat of Delhi. It's alright to just briefly acknowledge history and move on.

Then, there's the Humayun's Tomb I visited.

Of all the Mughal architectures I've had the pleasure of visiting, I was most fond of this tomb.

The day I went, there weren't a lot of visitors serenading the place. It was quiet and peaceful almost like someone had died there.
